History of Dump Trucks

The history of Dump Trucks is as follows:-

1969

In the late 60s, because of rocky and wet climate, the road builders faced various difficulties on the sites of construction. So, Mr. Hatlebakk began thinking of the methods which can make the work of the road builders simple. Therefore, he developed such a machine which can perform the work of usual trucks in harder situations on the construction sites.

1970s

This year marked the creation of the first dump truck manufactured. The model which was used consists of Ford 5000 tractor having hydraulic driven stern framework. It was put to test for fulfilling the goal of Mr. Hatlebakk. Then he invented his own wagon named as D20. This device striked the creation of a solid and long cooperation with other producer named as Scania.

Afterwards, he invented dump trucks from this machine. The site for dump truck was decided which include the rocky mountains of coastal Norway . It was also considered as one of the kinds of land the dump trucks must be constructed to master. Moxy manufactured the first dump truck in the year 1972 using the expressed structure such as Viking D15.

1980s

In this year, about 11 new models of dump trucks were invented by the Moxy Industries. The first dump truck known as 6200S was developed by Moxy Industries with a speed of 50 km/h, axle suspension in the front and ZF power shift transmission. Then during this year, dump trucks started working on the construction sites on the five major continents. In this year, 2 well-known dump trucks of 25 and 27 tonnes manufactured by Komatsu were launched along with design and engines.

1990s

At the end of 1990s, this industry established the research and development project. This includes two expeditions to the United States which was considered as the largest market for the dump trucks in the world. They ask from the potential customers that what they wish from the dump trucks.

2000
